Abercrombie & Fitch
Abercrombie & Fitch is a "casual luxury" clothing retailer. The merchandise is sold in the brands' retail stores, catalogs, and online. As of January 2007, the company operated 944 stores in all U.S. states, six stores in Canada and plans to continue expanding in Europe and Japan. The first European store will be opening in London on March 22, 2007.
Banana Republic
Banana Republic is a chain of "casual luxury" clothing stores owned by Gap Inc. Gap Inc. acquired Banana Republic in 1983. The eccentric tourist-oriented items were phased out and were replaced with more of the "casual luxury"-type items for which the brand is currently known.
Benetton
Benetton Group is a global clothing brand, based in Italy. The company was found in 1965 and named after four members of the Benetton Family. In 1965, the Benettons opened stores in Belluno and in Paris. Their products include womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and underwear and they have recently expanded into toiletries, perfumes, exclusive watches and items for the home such as kitchen accessories and baby products.
Esprit
Esprit is a brand of apparel, footwear, accessories, jewellery, and housewares, which are under the ESPRIT label. The company is headquartered and managed from Germany, while the Financial- and IR-Office remains in Hong Kong. The company has stores in more than forty countries.
Gap
Gap is an American clothing and accessories retailer founded in the late sixties and based in California. The Fishers opened their first shop because they had been frustrated with the lack of decent customer service and fashionable styles at other retailers. The name was chosen over "the generation gap". At the end of 2006, Gap Inc. had approximately 150,000 employees and operated 3,005 stores around the world.
H & M
Hennes & Mauritz is a Swedish clothing company, known for their inexpensive and fashionable clothing offerings. It was established in 1947 by Erling Persson. In 1968 Persson expanded into menswear. Accordingly, he abbreviated the store name to H&M. The Group has more than 1300 stores in 24 different countries and has more than 50,000 employees. H&M worked this past few years with some fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Dutch designers Viktor & Rolf. H&M has also started another collaboration with Madonna.
Le Breve
Le Breve is an independant fashion label based in the UK and formed in 1974. Originally known for jeans it has expanded to gilets, t-shirts, knitwear, jackets and women's clothing (jeans, sweaters, hoodies and jackets).
Levis
Levi's is a brand of riveted denim jeans manufactured by Levi Strauss & Co.
Kookai
Kookai started in 1983 with a simple concept : to supply young women with affordable apparel for their wardrobes. The first stores opened in Europe, Asia and America and Australia. It's clothing line is generally characterised by French fashion trends.
Mango
MANGO is a prestigious multinational company dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of clothing garments and accessories for women. MANGO has over 5.800 employees, 1.500 of which work at the company's central offices in Palau-Solit i Plegamans (Barcelona).
Miss Sixty
Miss Sixty is a clothing label, based in Italy. It is the female component of the Sixty fashion label.
Morgan
Morgan de Toi is a clothing brand which was established in 1947 and owned by the French company Morgan SA. At present it has over 600 retail outlets worldwide. Production is vertically integrated and takes place mainly in France. The brand is targeted at women between the ages of 18 and 35.
Pepe Jeans
Pepe Jeans has a presence in several countries around the world. The brand was launched in India in the lat eigthies. It has became one of the most successful brands in the world.
Replay
The Replay brand was started by Claudio Buziol in 1978. Specializing in denim, Replay also produces designer clothing and accessories for men, women and children of all age groups. With a total sales of over 230 million Euros, Replay operates in all European markets, the Middle East, Asia and America with products sold in over 50 nations.
Zara
Zara is a Spanish brand, the first store opened in 1975 in Spain, where the main headquarter is now. The group has over 3,100 stores around the world in over 70 countries, the Zara format taking around 1,000 of those stores. Today they're the Europe's largest fashion retailer. Zara's concept is to compete with quality brands at affordable prices. In only two weeks, Zara can develop a new product and get it to stores and launches around 10,000 new designs each
